From FarmingdaleSports.com-March 6, 2012-Montclair State University junior Heather Gearity (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) was named the NJAC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive season. She claimed the NJAC championship in the 400 meters with a time of 57.39. She also placed fourth in the conference 60 meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 9.43. Gearity also was a member of MSU’s conference runner-up 4×200 and 4×400 meter relays which produced respective times of 1:44.28 and 3:59.17.
